§ 32-1. Incorporation of state motor vehicle and traffic laws and rules and regulations of the state department of public safety.

In addition to all other provisions of this Code relating to the operation of motor vehicles in the city, the provisions of Code of Ala. 1975, §§ 32-5-1 et seq. and 32-5A-1 et seq. regulating the operation of motor vehicles and rules of the road, are hereby adopted by reference and incorporated into this chapter as if fully set out herein. Any person who violates any provision of law, in the city or of this state, relating to the speed and operation of motor vehicles, whether now existing or hereafter adopted or enacted, or who violates any now-existing or hereafter adopted rule or regulation of the state department of public safety, the violation of which is a misdemeanor under state law, shall be guilty of an offense against the city.
