§ 30-6. Installation of street lights, payment.

  • (a)

    Street lights installed by private developers in rights-of-way, to be accepted by the council into city maintenance, must be paid for by the private developer as a cost of the development and must be installed prior to acceptance into maintenance.

    (b)

    Street lights installed by the city, in existing streets, will be paid for at the time the request for installation is made. The respective utility will provide an aid-to construction cost for the light installation and a request for funding will be presented to council for approval.

    (c)

    Street light installation for both new construction and request for installation on existing streets shall comply with the city street light policy.
